Workshop Specifics

8:00am – 11:00am– Exploring Arm Balances – $65

Led By: Steph + Erin

Explore the art of balancing on your hands as Erin and Steph break down some of the more popular arm balances including Crow, Side Crow, EPK, Eight Angle, Firefly, and more! Learn wrist/arm strengthening techniques, core foundations, and the body control needed to flip your perspective and lift yourself up. 

So much of the work we do to find float in arm balances has to do with the careful, slow movements that we make on the mat. Join us for a fun and funky flow that will add useful drills to your practice and set you up for success on your hands.

From the safe steps to build the strength to fly, to complex transitions between postures, this clinic offers it all!  Open to all levels, and modifications always included, but suggested for those with a consistent practice. No previous inversion experience needed.

12:30pm – 3:30pm– Introduction to Inversions (Handstand Happiness) – $65

Led By: Steph + Erin

Calling all inversion addicts! This three workshop based clinic will cover some of your favorite ways to start safely getting upside down with an emphasis on handstand! Learn warm-ups, strengthening drills, and a variety of exercises to help grow your FOREARM STAND, and HANDSTAND practice. We will break down key movements and stages for each inversion, allowing you to work at whatever level is right for Your body.

Practice strengthening drills and useful tips incorporated into a warming flow, and then put them into action in the workshop section, as we explore the power of props and partners to safely find float on your head and your hands.

The perfect place to start your inversion practice, and if you’re already inverting, take home valuable tricks and transitions to progress your asana. There is always more to learn about the art of going upside down! Ideal for those with a consistent practice, but open to all levels.

4:30pm – 6:30pm– Inversion Recovery + Yoga Nidra – $35

Led By: Bianca

Inversions can bring a sense of passion and playfulness to all different types of movement practices, at any point in our lives. Yet many are derailed from their explorations upside down by either acute injury and/or the general wear and tear that can find its way into even the most “advanced” bodies through chronic use without some kind of dedicated recovery work.

Join Bianca Scalise for a two hour recovery clinic + brief yoga nidra session (guided breathing + meditation) that will bring a spark back to your creative neutralizing, counter posture work, and general cool down techniques. Recovery in no way has to be slow and boring and more importantly, it can help prolong the health of your tissues so that you can play upside down more often and longer without sacrifices the integrity of your joints and connective tissue.

Expect a fun and funky mix of dynamic movement fluidity flows + concentrated drills to help stretch AND strengthen the most important players in arm balances and inversions. Wrist drills, shoulder love, and full body mobility work through soft engagement flows and creative props usage, all sequenced in Bianca’s signature style and strung with poetic guided meditation. Expect to sweat a bit more, work out some of the kinks from earlier in the day, and then leave feeling relaxed, refreshed, and centered, ready to take home all of the information and implement into your personal practice.
